We have seen some great apps and streaming services in India in the past. The next in line, which has been launched by Airtel, is called Wynk Music. It is an audio streaming service/app for Android and iOS mobiles.
Sunil Bharti Mittal-led Bharti Airtel, India's largest telecom company, has launched music application Wynk. This is the first time in two decades the company has moved out of its own network to offer a service which will be available on other telecom operators' network. The application will be available on Android and iOS platforms.
The users can stream music through this app for free (data charges might apply), but one would need to pay a small amount if they want to download a song. First month subscription on this app is free, however other networks than Airtel might charge for the internet usage. Yes, the app will work on other networks, but one needs to pay a premium to the other service providers in order to use this app.
If a user wants to download an MP3, they can get a good quality one at Rs 5 through Wynk. Other packs include unlimited in app downloads at Rs 99/month on android and Rs 60/month on iOS. Only for Airtel customers, the company has introduced a special Wynk Freedom pack, where for Rs 129 per month users will get unlimited streams and downloads without any data charges.
